Hey Everyone,

We're teaming up with The Amazing People Project to raise funds for Starlight Children's Foundation, Inspire Foundation, youngcare, Cure Cancer Foundation Australia and CareFlight.

  This means we will be losing weight from 11 July until 3 October to help the above charities continue their great work.

  The idea is to create a support group that collectively loses 100kg and raises $1000. We want to connect with like minded women, who are keen to lose weight while helping others. The group will be called The Sisterhood of Slimmers in support of some amazing charities.

  You are invited to join in by aiming to lose small amounts of weight over the next 12 weeks. Sister Slim (otherwise known as my sister-in-law Cate) has set up a blog so we can share all of our recipe and exercise ideas, successes and of course fun networking! We'd also like to hold a finale outing over the Labour Day long weekend to celebrate our fundraising efforts .Feel free to share finale ideas with us.

The Inspire Foundation has worked directly with young people to develop ReachOut.com

Youngcare, currently 6,500 young Australians with full-time care needs are living in aged care simply because there are few alternatives

Cure Cancer Australia Foundation, one in two families are touched by cancer in their lifetime and Cure Cancer Australia is determined to improve prevention, detection and treatment outcomes to reduce the suffering caused by cancer

CareFlight provides rapid response critical care to patients in a pre-hospital environment
